Chicken eggshells are one of those “don’t waste a good thing” farm treasure. Here’s what I’ve read they’re good for.. Eggshells are about 95% calcium carbonate, which
strengthens plant cell walls,
helps prevent blossom end rot (especially in tomatoes, peppers, and squash) and
improves overall soil structure over time. 🌱
I also like to sprinkle some in the chicken coop every now and then for the girls as a calcium supplement. 🐓 🥚

Ok sourdough lovers, if you are looking for a NO FAIL recipe you have to try our family favorite pretzel recipe from “This Jess Cooks”! I have made these three times in the last two weeks 🤭

Since my diagnoses I’m REALLY trying to do better at watching what my family consumes… even the stuff we don’t always notice we are consuming!

I like to soak my fruit in baking soda and water to help remove residues and dirt. Studies show it can remove up to 96% of surface residues or pesticides on some fruits.

This is cheap & simple, which is a double win for me!! I use about 1 tsp baking soda to 2 cups of water for 12-15 minutes, then rinse thoroughly!
