More moringa leaf harvesting going on at PatriotValleyFarm. From triple wash to drying rack to herb drying hangers, we process several hundred pounds of freshly grown Moringa in south coastal Texas every year. Once dried, we will mix the dried leaf powder into capsules and additives for our enriched compost.

If your name is Farmer Sir, you are ALWAYS BUSY! We had to make a quick trip to the house and back to Houston last night because the compost worms arrived from Utah. Jason has worked so hard to get ready for these lil guys and we couldn't risk them dying in a box in the Texas heat. We didn't have a whole lot of time, so we got them set up in their temporary new home. They will be relocated this weekend to their worm mansion. Let the AMAZING compost production begin. These worms are going to be a real game changer for the farm and our soil. It has come so far over the last 4.5 years and it is about to get even better. Jason Campbell

Farmer Sir built a custom bin for our composting worms. This bin is ready to house the new batch of red wigglers coming in this week. Our kitchen and garden scraps are feed to our worms who in turn make a lot of worm p**p ​that feeds our Moringa trees, fruit orchards, and vineyards. Recycling is a key part of everything at the farm. Jason Campbell

Taking the shipping cardboard from our newly added Flow Hives and recycling it by shredding it down for worm bedding. The bedding will be processed by our composting worms into worm castings and compost soil. We then feed this casting compost soil back into our orchard and vineyard, feeding the pollinator plants that keep our bees healthy and happy!

If I could bottle up happiness and sell it, this is what it would look like for Farmer Sir. I finally agreed to purchasing the haying equipment and it was delivered yesterday. Much like the joy he had when the tractor was delivered, he has joy again today! We're cutting hay friends. I'll be in charge of selling it. It is a joy to see him so happy! Love that guy! Recycling, YOU BETCHA! Farmer Sir is always busy on the farm and this week he is prepping up our latest project and I bet you can't guess what it is! If you said worms, you would be right. This cardboard is almost ready for the worms to be ordered. Worm castings are amazing for the soil and I can't wait to see how they make everything in our orchard grow! Jason Campbell
