The Little Black Cattle Co. We raise grass fed Lowline Angus Cattle Lowlines have 1/3 the nutritional requirements of larger cattle but on average produce 40 percent more product per acre.

Lowline Angus are a smaller breed of naturally polled beef cattle developed in Australia to finish on grass, they are efficient, thrive on grass, are docile, calve easily and are adaptable to all weather conditions. At slaughter Lowlines also provide a much greater yield to carcass weight than other breeds. On pasture you could typically run 5 Simmental or Herefords you can run 10 Lowlines, this w

orks better for smaller family farms, also the smaller cattle are easier on the pasture they feed on. Their smaller size makes them easier to work with around children and in a small family farm setting. Some folks think that Lowlines are simply dwarf cattle but this couldn’t be further from the truth. Lowlines are genetically clean and do not carry the Achondroplasia or Chondrodysplasia (dwarfism) genes.

Went and sat with Frankie and his girls. Brandy came up and sniffed my hands. I cut up apples and Frankie took one Brandy and Dusty sniffed them and watched the chickens peck the ones I tossed on the ground. Frankie got his massage I could tell the girls were interested in what I was doing they just aren't ready.. soon I will have them eating out of my hands and given them scratches.
