We last saw Ron VanHerwyn and his wife Angie at their new farm down in Butler county, but we first took a Walk On The Wild Side with them in their Montgomery back yard where they were giving a home to some of our state's creatures who are both common and rare. So this week we re-visit Ron's Kritter Kids. Speaking of common, there's a common belief "An Apple A Day Keeps The Doctor Away" and we'll show you where you can find so many apples, you may never have to see a doctor again Steele Orchard, Inc! We swing open The Vault for a heritage hundreds of years in the making kept alive by musicians young and old. Something old and something new? We found it when we visited a place offering everything from hams to hardware on a shopping adventure which was Absolutely Alabama. Get up early and join us this Saturday morning at 5:30 WSFA-TV-Montgomery or Sunday morning at 4:30 WBRC FOX6 News-Birmingham.

This year's Youth Leadership Cullman County students got their hands dirty yesterday during our “Ag Day” session, traveling the area to check out several of the places that make Cullman County #1 in agriculture. Our students visited the Cullman Stockyard, the North Alabama Agriplex, Brickyard Meat Processing, Steele Orchard, Inc and Wallace State Community College Agriculture/Horticulture. Big thanks to Cullman Rotary Club for allowing us to join them for lunch! While “Ag Day” was fun, it was also bittersweet as it was YLCC’s final session of the year. We are very proud of our 2018-19 YLCC class and look forward to their graduation on May 7th. Thanks to our sponsors: Presenting: R.E. Garrison Trucking, Inc.
