Cullowhee Community Yard Sale

*** 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, May 1, 2010 *** The Cullowhee Community Yard Sale is the brainstorm of a few different people in the local community who all have stuff to sell and want to help raise funds for Avant Garden. We are currently looking for interested sellers who would like a table at the event, where they can sell lawn mowers, clothes, dorm fridges, DVDs and more. Is one of these sellers you? If so, please email [email protected] for more information and to sign up; we will contact you with answers, as well as a confirmations of your participation before the event takes place. All sellers can submit photos of their items, which we will turn into individual albums for each seller, if they wish to have people view some of their items before the big day. We encourage this! It may create more of an interest in the yard sale, and what could be better than that? Everyone who participates in the yard sale will be doanting a portion of their funds earned to Avant Garden, an organic farm the provides fresh foods and nutritional information to the community. These donations will be based on a sliding scale of how much each individual's booth earns. We're thinking roughly 15% of the total money earned by each seller. This seems fair since Avant Garden is donating the space for our yard sale; plus, Avant Garden is a good and worthy cause! At this point in time, we're really looking for other sellers. Right now, there are a few individuals and couples who are collaborating on this, but we need more sellers. Soon, we will have an approximate number of open tables; we will confirm sellers and tables until 1) we run out of space 2) we reach the end of Tuesday, April 27. Because of this, RSVP if you want to participate! GETTING TO AVANT GARDEN: Once you turn on Monteith Gap (Suds Your Duds and KinderMusic as landmarks), look for the last left before you pass over Cullowhee Creek. We will have signs with arrows, but there is no street sign!!
