Hi there, Samira here. Nice to meet you! I’m the one baking the cakes 😊 I figured I needed to show my face and introduce myself. I’m a wife, a mom, a friend, a dog lover. I love candles and essential oils. My house is always smelling good... it is either the smell of the cakes or some oil diffusing( I love lavender with lemongrass!)
I moved to LA in 2007 because of my husband’s work. I also lived in Canada and Chicago. Before the pandemic I was managing an English school
where I meet incredible people from all over the world. Unfortunately, we had to close the school and I found myself stuck at home. I believe everyone discovered something about themselves during the pandemic. I started baking! I always baked the famous Brazilian Carrot Cake for my friends but I decided to bake it and make it fancier! I did the same with the other cakes and decided to officially open Bisa Cakes. Yes, my grandma gets all the credit. She is my inspiration and the person behind all the recipes. She is - somehow- always baking the cakes with me so that’s why my cakes are very special (made with extra love!)
I want to bring you joy and comfort in each bite of my cake.
