Here’s a little peek at what we’ve been up to recently!
-Turkeys out on pasture. We move them onto fresh ground everyday and they are absolutely loving it!
-Our first time making silage for the cows. We trialed a new crop this year, sorghum sudangrass, which really impressed us with its productivity and drought tolerance. We’re definitely going to keep it in our rotation in low-water seasons.
-Here’s hoping our corn silage harvest will go smoothly as well! It’ll probably take us over a week to cut and fill 5 more silage bags. The cows won’t go hungry this winter!
