317 Painted Lady is enjoying being out to pasture already this year. We consider her to be our “rescue cow”- when we picked her up she was severely underweight, fearful and aggressive towards people, and paced so much she created a trench in her pasture in the first week.

But, over the last year with us she has put on a significant amount of weight, has stopped pacing, and has made ‘friends’ with our other cows. She is no longer afraid or aggressive towards people, but is still cautious in unfamiliar situations. Now she bobs her head a lot when exited (during feeding time, obviously). She doesn’t have the demeanor of a ‘pet’, but most cattle never do.

We picked her up mostly in part to her great lineage- with bloodlines that include PBR World Finals bulls like Panhandle Slim, Pl***oy Skoal, and Backlash, we are hopeful she’ll produce some great offspring in the future.
