We had a higher than typical ram to ewe percentage this year and are managing a separate flock of 65 males with about half of those being wethered and the other half being assessed as potential breeders.

They are just approaching five months of age so it’s a bit early to start picking winners but it looks like there will be some nice ones to choose from.

Our lambs are born on pasture, are 100% forage based, trained to single strand poly wire, and are vaccine and dewormer free.

While we are fully booked for the remainder of this year we will certainly have them in coming years for those of you researching producers from which to source your next replacement ram.

105 lambs born to 61 ewes over 17 days (18 Apr-04 May).

We would typically expect a higher lambing percentage but have a lot of first time moms this year.

Average birthweight across the group sits at 8.43lbs with rams being 8.60lbs and ewes being 8.22lbs.

14 more moms to go with this being the first time lambing for all but our oldest ewe who has yet to lamb and may be nearing the end of her productive life.
