It's that time of year!
This very feral litter of kittens and their mother are living the dry high life in the garage this week during these storms. They were trapped in a nearby subdivision so we can take them to the county shelter to be fixed when they are old enough. I'm a fan of barn cats as much as the next person but they have to be fixed. At least they are all together.
So I guess it's the annual PSA to get your pets fixed.

Farm strength is a whole different level
There is no workout like shearing a stubborn babydoll sheep
I don't care if you CrossFit or max bench or run for miles
Nothing will compare to wrestling sheep
I will die on that hill
And if you disagree I dare you to come try it
This was literally the worst shear ever for how bad they were fighting and how hot it was today
I promised her I would buy her a shearing table for next time!
And they've clearly been eating high on the hog!

So on occasion I get a friendly extra
Luckily I caught this one before I took a bite!

At first this giant grasshopper gave me 'haby in there' kitten poster vibes
Then I saw the pic and realized the side eye

Kale should have it's own color on the color wheel
It's not cabbage but it crunches and it's not broccoli but you can cook it lots of ways or freeze it for smoothies plus it's just pretty.
It's got my vote for underrated vegetable.
I'm done admiring my kale, back to weeding!

Was not prepared to wake up to this today
I didn't think these were hatching till Tuesday
I just turned off the turner yesterday
I have been on my heels this entire turkey hatching season but here we are and they got here just in time for
it's like they were planning!
Needless to say I'm going to have some turkeys UFD if anybody's interested!

The storms running through the south right now carry a peaceful eeriness. I feel for everyone dealing with the flooding in Atlanta, luckily I am North enough that the water is running downhill.

This North Georgia Clay has been unforgiving in my attempts to grow rhubarb over the years but I finally have the right dirt in the right spot with the right Sun and it's working!

And amongst everything else Taco the tortoise got an upgrade! She now has an outdoor habitat
And she is close enough to the Farm stand that when you stop by be sure to say hi
