All my local friends know just how crunchy I am in person but in case it isn't obvious I'm kinda proud of how clean we've gotten our little slice of preserve... Bats, dragonflies, all the bees, and this little toad are all examples that when you provide a clean ecosystem the pests take care of themselves.
So yes I paused to let the toad enjoy bellying up to the bug buffet this afternoon and didn't get in its way! Eat all the bugs!
It's kinda almost cute in an ugly toad kinda way

It's August 1 and Bynx would like to know who's gonna start decorating for Halloween first?
My house is looking more and more every year like a witch in the woods lives here and I am totally okay with it being Halloween all year long
If it was the late 1600's I think it's obvious what side of the table I'd have been on in Salem now excuse me while I dust off my Halloween decorations and drink my tincture 🤷🏼‍♀️

Finding the goodness in the small stuff... Planted a hibiscus for the tortoise and it's blooming beautifully, the lime tree has made a comeback in this heat and the bunnies are just living life as pets.
