Today’s breeding that happened.

Rocky was scheduled for an AI but we are leaving out for GA National fair tomorrow & I don’t want to have to bring the tank & AI gear along! Soo… Bane got a date.

He was quite happy, Rocky was ready but not exactly willing. She’s particular…

Hoping for a doe & maybe black to boot… I will probably only get one or the other!

Does are reserved, bucks will be available and worth trying even if they will be Experimental- Rocky has a phenomenal udder!

All of this is soooo TRUE!

Fox on Fire OBR BE Chillin’ has been helping with heat detection.

I have plans and he will get used & collected this year.

Tonight he didn’t get the breeding opportunity instead it was time for the first AI of the season which went splendidly!

Hoping for more does to follow since the weather decided to jump into fall!

It’s time for fall dowsnsizing!

Looking at how many heads are in my feeders makes me want to tighten ranks just a bit! So I’m offering this first generation Oberhasli experimental!

Fox on Fire OBR Prima
Prima is a first freshening 2yr doe. Shes by Ober-boerd Bacardi’s Rumrunner out of an experimental doe (10th place RG doe at 2021 nationals!)from my Denali line. She’s got a lot going for her and if I didn’t have her twin sister, I’d have a harder time letting go! I feel she’s really going to do good things as she matures

Prima is still in milk, but I have started drying her off in preparation of rebreeding her.

We had a great time at our first fair of the season!
Lots of $$$ earned and I ran my butt off- my phone registered that I walked about 7miles(and sweated a lot!)

Some highlights-

Oberhasli- CH (pending)Fox on Fire SA Burlesque easily cinched 1st in aged doe class, Grand and best of breed.

Fox on Fire Luck o’ the Irish- 2nd, this girl is still working hard at 9yrs and stands firm on great feet & legs. However, I’m sad to say that 3rd championship leg that we’ve been chasing her lifetime is out of reach I feel. She’s been an excellent partner for Will though!

Fox on Fire IMAS Tango- 2nd- this doe has been slow to mature and hasn’t made it into the ring much. I think this might be her 2nd show ever?

Fox on Fire HTT Nebula- 1st and reserve ch Jr

Haycreeks Traveler Ta**us was 3rd place jr get of sire. Really love the substance & strength he places on his kids!

Recorded Grade
Fox on Fire OBR Germasi- 1st milking yearling
Fox on Fire OBR Astral -3rd 2yr
Fox on Fire Rum & Sunshine-4th 2yr
Fox on Fire DP AGALAXYFARFARAWY -3rd 3yr
Fox on Fire TF April in Paris-4th 4yr
Fox on Fire SMKI 7th Heaven was 3rd sr kid

Our next show is Dogwood Diva’s fall show in Carrollton, Ga 10/3! We’ll be showing some srs, jrs & a few bucks!

Conan is off the tether and doing quite fabulous!

He ignores the birds is EXCELLENT with goats. Good with fences, good with the barn cats, loves children, hates to be scolded. He checks the perimeter & then goes and lies with goats or hangs with Spookie. Works well with males & females.

If you are looking for a well-started LGD. He’s your boy. He does come with a neuter contract- his head shape isn’t quite right for the breed in my opinion and should not pass that on! He also comes with a health guarantee, is fully vaccinated and both his parents are health tested!

Pm if you are interested in his details.

Fox on Fire HTT Nebula

👀🏡!

I’m second guessing myself a lot for this doe. She’s a very nice, solid doe kid. She’s also from my very milky lines. Solid general appearance, super productive. While her dam hasn’t made many appearances in the show ring, several of her relatives have legs or their Championship.

Her dam is currently out on an extended lactation lease for at least next year possibly 2yrs!

Sorry for no posts for a bit, we are prepping for fall fairs/shows (Gwinnett fair, Dogwood Divas show & Ga National fair)

Lots of clipping, trimming hooves and making sure entries are correct.

Also we are anxiously awaiting does going into heat… the bucks are building up their stink & are ready! But so far none of the girls are on strong enough heats just yet!

Will & Kaitlyn have been helping me clip. Will even was loving on his newest experimental kid, Peach- he says she’s going to be his next star champion…
