WR Ranch WR Ranch is a family-run cattle ranch located in beautiful Madison County, Iowa. Every summer we also produce pasture-raised chicken that is for sale locally.

We raise a small, closed herd of purebred Dexter cattle for breeding stock and grass-fed beef.

First calf of 2026 was a red bull calf a week early. The last calf was a red bull calf a week late. In between we had two black bull calves. All out of a brand new bull. Excited to see how they grow up!

Another day, another bull calf. So thankful I have raised calm and trustworthy momma cows! I couldn’t imagine tagging with a crazy cow trying to run you over
