If there’s one thing about the Liang family, it’s that we take our spice very seriously. 🌶️🔥

We were always on the hunt for chili oils that had the right balance of spice, flavor, and texture. Eventually, we figured… why not make our own? So we took our family recipes, added our own twist, and brought them to fellow spice lovers everywhere. 🌶️❤️

One of the questions we get ALL the time in our DMs: “Okay… but which one should I try first?!”

There’s a reason we still do this all by hand. 🤲🥟

Making a good wonton is really an art form. It’s all about that specific tuck and fold - creating those little pockets and “tails” that are designed to soak up as much sauce as possible.

We know not everyone has the time to do the same but still wants delicious, authentic wontons to eat at home, which is why we put our heart into making these every day. ❤️

Keeping up with the Liangs… 🏃🏻‍♀️✨

We’ve always been a bit shy about showing our faces, but it felt like time for a proper introduction. Meet the siblings behind Mama Liang’s: Jessica, Erica, and Austin!

You might know our home base, , now in Cupertino. It was started by our grandma in the 80s, passed down to our dad, and is now in our hands. In 2017, we founded Mama Liang’s because we wanted to share our grandma’s recipes far beyond the restaurant walls.

It’s been a wild ride starting a company and working together, but we’re so proud to be carrying on our family legacy.

It is officially impossible to get a decent shot of all three of us at the same time, so enjoy these out takes from a recent shoot - plus a throwback shot at the end 📸

Throwback Featured in Saveur Mag! 🌶️

Our Mala Pig Ear 麻辣滷豬耳 was highlighted in Saveur Magazine’s article on that irresistible QQ texture. They called out the chewy, bouncy consistency that makes these pig ears so addictive, and we couldn’t agree more: slippery, spicy, and full of flavor! 😋

Did you know Mama Liang’s braised meats have been a staple since our very first restaurant back in 1981 in Monterey Park? We love sharing this magic with as many people as possible, and it’s available for purchase online.

All our Lu Wei is slow-cooked for over 12 hours from our generational Master Stock, so every bite is rich, tender, and packed with flavor. 😋 Choose from Beef Shank, Pig’s Ear, Duck Wings, or Pig’s Feet - and spice things up with our Mala sauce packets for that perfect kick! 🌶️
