The burn ban for Nacogoches County has been lifted. We would still ask residents to use caution while burning and monitor all burn piles and always monitor wind conditions.

Burn Ban

UPDATE 10/5/2026 BURN BAN LIFTED

Nacogdoches County Commissioners issued an Order Restricting Outdoor Burning during today’s regularly scheduled meeting. The ban prohibits outdoor burning in unincorporated parts of the county for 90 days unless lifted sooner.
The ban does NOT apply to outdoor cooking provided the grill or smoker is placed on a concrete, gravel or dirt surface at least 5 feet away from any combustible materials.
Violations of the ban are a Class-C misdemeanor.
