First fire of the day. Feels soo good to be here after all the work that gone into it this year. But there is more.

The new evaporator is in and getting installed. Should be up and cooking today!

We have our first load of sap pumped into the tank. Trees are running really good. Lot more work to do before we can cook, as of now hoping to do that Sunday.

Trees are tapped. Lines are up. New pan is waiting to be cleaned on the old arch. Still a few days of busy work to consider ourselves tapped out. Several more to be ready. But all of the new additions are looking good. We expect the trees to break loose and run good this week.

My father was doing this small scale before I’ver did and i helped hom a little now here i am doing it myself. Looking back to my first year cooking maple syrup a lot of things learned, That year and every year since. I know he is watching down and I would give almost anything to see his smile for how far I’ve come.

Lots of new stuff coming onboard this year. Moving the cooking operation out to the farm with a new cooker. Building a sugar shack. Adding more gravity lines and some vacuum. Oh and this new FB page. Please like and share. More to come.
