Job Title: Farm Mechanic – Commercial Cattle Operation

Location: Cusseta, AL

Job Type: Full-Time

Compensation: Pay based on experience

Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Farm Mechanic to join our commercial cattle operation. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing diesel tractors, diesel trucks, and a variety of farm implements. This position also requires accurate service recordkeeping in a computer-based software application. On occasion, the mechanic will assist with hay production and cattle processing activities.

Key Responsibilities
· Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel tractors, diesel trucks, and other farm equipment.

· Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.

· Maintain accurate service and maintenance records in a farm management software application.

· Order and track parts as needed.

· Assist in hay production operations during peak seasons.

· Participate in cattle processing procedures as needed.

· Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work area.

Qualifications:
· Previous experience as a mechanic, preferably in an agriculture or heavy equipment setting.

· Proficiency with diesel engines, hydraulics, and general mechanical repairs.

· Basic computer skills for recordkeeping and data entry.

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

· Good work ethic, punctuality, and willingness to learn.

· Physical ability to perform hands-on repair and maintenance tasks.

Work Schedule
· Full-time, year-round position.
· Some seasonal flexibility and overtime may be required during busy periods.
