Summer 2025

"Chance is not. Material, intellectual, and spiritual possessions are the fruits of effort, they are thoughts completed, objects accomplished, visions realized."

8/10/24 and 8/24/24 : Honey Extraction Days!

First year beekeepers are told not to expect honey their first year as the colony is getting established and they are trying to build their population and resources to help them survive winter! The bees typically don't produce a whole lot the first year.
My girls didn't follow the norm and went above and beyond and have been working super hard! I had to extract some to give them more space! Definitely not complaining that they worked so hard...as we sit here and eat delicious honey by the spoonfuls 🤭🐝🍯

A huge shout out to my mentors Joe and Carole over at CRB'S! I am so grateful for all their knowledge and skills! Not only have they dedicated time and resources to teach me, but they have become dear friends and I am so very blessed to have met them! ❤️

Love my bees!! Still thinking of names for all 60,000+ 🤣

Beekeeping has been a wonderful journey and I am excited to keep learning and growing my Apiary! Plus I get to look like an Astronaut while I work the hives sooo that's pretty cool! 🤣

5/8/24 - Picking up some certified organic fertilizer to apply through the planter this year for corn! Big Thanks to Heaven's Dew in West Liberty, Ohio for sourcing the fertilizer for us! Potassium Sulfate is a mineral mined from the earth - great source of potassium and sulfur on fields that are low in these nutrients
