The barrels you've seen at Mt. Rushmore Brewing Company are full of b**r, quietly doing their job behind the scenes. As the b**r ages, it develops deeper flavors and character, making barrel aging an important part of the craft.

Brews that age during the off season will be on tap when summer finally rolls around.

Word has spread to the high points and hidden places of the Black Hills…

We’re closed for the season. Our official "off season" taste tester is headed back to Custer. He’ll be wandering in soon to check on the brew crew and make sure everyone is working hard on the next batch. Because while our restaurants are closed until May 2027, the work doesn’t stop. We brew year-round, and the b**rs created over the next few months will be given plenty of time to barrel-age before making their way onto the menu next summer.

So, if you happen to see a certain large, hairy fellow wandering the trails with an empty b**r glass… Don’t worry. He’s just here for quality control. 😉

Well, here we are… crying in our b**r.
Summer has come and gone, and Mt. Rushmore Brewing Company is officially closed for the season.

Thank you to everyone who sipped, dined, laughed and made memories with us in 2026. Thank you for singing along with our musical acts, gathering around our tables, bringing your friends and family, and making us part of your summer.

We’ll be brewing all winter and getting ready to welcome you back in May 2027. Until then, we're raising a glass to an amazing summer. Cheers, and thank you for making it one to remember! 🍺

October 3 is National Play Outside Day — and let’s be honest, getting outside isn’t just good for kids. Adults need a little playtime, too!

Spend the day exploring the Black Hills, hiking the trails around Custer, or simply soaking up the sunshine. Then head to Mt. Rushmore Brewing Company for great food, amazing service, and a cold craft b**r to cap off your day.

Family-friendly and yes — leashed dogs are welcome, too!
