We made another couple of trips back from Iceberg Alley. I’ve been harvesting a lot of nice stuff out of the damaged cages and putting the ‘go-backers’ into clean, fresh gear. It’s been labor intensive and heavy on the payroll lately power washing, repairing and bringing in broken gear. The broken cages are cumbersome but we are grateful to almost be done dealing with the winter damage.

We are rolling with a badass crew. Long hours. Heavy lifting. Monotonous sorting. Rain and wind. No problem. I asked our new crew member Johnny if he had a clean drivers license. He said yes. So we let him drive the power washer for 6 hours. That’s a long drive!

Alright, alright.. even I admit I was a little rough in that last video but what can I say? 🤷‍♂️ It’s hard work and we like it that way! And we even joke around sometimes too!

We don’t get paid extra for growing them older or bigger but they sure are nicer! 🦪

These older oysters develop a lot more character, And 👅FLAVOR👅 as they age beautifully in bottom cages in the crisp cool Peconic Bay.
