**Sometimes the best opportunities begin with a simple, "Why don't you give it a try?" ❤️🐐**
When Scarlett first mentioned she was interested in goats, we weren't quite sure where the journey would lead. Thanks to the encouragement of some wonderful friends, she decided to step outside of her comfort zone, join 4-H, and take on the responsibility of raising and showing her very first Boer goat.
Since May, she's been feeding, grooming, practicing, learning, and showing up every single day for her goat. There is still so much to learn, but that's exactly what makes this experience so valuable. It's teaching responsibility, patience, perseverance, confidence, and the rewards that come from caring for something bigger than yourself.
As we continue building **Always Something Blooming Farm**, this experience is becoming more than just a summer project. We can't wait to watch Scarlett use everything she's learning as we begin building our own goat pasture and barn in the near future. It's exciting to see dreams slowly becoming reality, one small step at a time.
We also want to give a huge thank you to Rock Ridge Show Goats for taking Scarlett under their wing. Her show goat came from their farm, but they've given us so much more than that. They've patiently answered countless questions, shared their knowledge, encouraged her every step of the way, and truly invested in helping her grow. We are incredibly grateful for their kindness and willingness to teach.
We've also been blessed to become part of our local livestock 4-H club. Everyone has been so welcoming, encouraging, and generous with their time and advice. The friendships we've already begun to build mean so much, and we're thankful to be part of such a supportive community.
Here's to trying new things, learning as we go, and raising not just animals—but capable, compassionate kids along the way. 💚
