Naked alpacas!
Shearing day was yesterday… so OF COURSE it got chilly. 🤦‍♀️

Some views from chores today. Love those alpaca eyelashes and the tracks in the snow.

Please help spread the word. The winter market was a lot of fun and this fall holiday market should be even better :-D.

The alpaca girls are cool, comfortable, and curious about what’s over there off screen right! Haha.

Shearing Day was a success!
Big gratitude to Riversong Shearing for taking such good care of us. They were so efficient, professional, and kind and I’m so thankful we had them out.

Soon I’ll be taking this year’s blankets to the fiber mill Edwards Woolworks LLC & Lost Coast Spinnery to be processed and picking up our processed rovings and yarns from last year’s shearing day!

Happy St. Patrick’s Day from the KDA! 🍀

We’ve been communicating with our trusted fiber processor Edwards Woolworks LLC & Lost Coast Spinnery and are expecting to have rovings and yarns available again by summer! Isn’t this video from their business cool!?

Shearing day this year is set for April 18th, by the way, and the cycle begins again!
