Fresh Redfish meets rich, creamy Farmhouse Butter for the perfect Southern coastal dinner. Topped with a homemade Lemon Herb Butter that melts into every flaky bite, this recipe proves that simple ingredients make extraordinary meals.
Ingredients
For the Redfish
4 redfish (red drum) fillets (6–8 oz each)
2 tbsp melted Farmhouse Butter
1 tbsp paprika
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
1 tsp dried thyme
1 tsp dried oregano
½ tsp cayenne pepper
½ tsp black pepper
1 tsp salt
Farmhouse Lemon Herb Butter
½ cup Farmhouse Butter, softened
1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
1 tsp fresh thyme
1 garlic clove, minced
Zest of 1 lemon
1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
Pinch of sea salt
Instructions
1. Make the Butter
Mix all Lemon Herb Butter ingredients together and refrigerate while preparing the fish.
2. Season the Redfish
Combine all seasonings in a small bowl. Brush the fillets with melted Farmhouse Butter and coat generously with the seasoning blend.
3. Cook
Heat a cast-iron skillet over medium-high heat.
Add a small amount of Farmhouse Butter and sear the fillets for 3–4 minutes per side until the fish flakes easily and develops a beautiful crust.
4. Finish
Top each fillet with a generous dollop of Farmhouse Lemon Herb Butter while still hot. Let it melt over the fish before serving.
