We’re living the life we’ve prayed for.. out here where the roads get quieter, the skies get bigger, and life feels a little closer to heaven.🐂🫶🏼

Ferdinand (lovingly known as Ferd the Turd) may be built like a corgi, but he has the attitude of an undefeated PBR champ.

Lucas now has a fear of anything standing 40 inches tall and cries if anyone “moos” around him.

This is Ferdinand.

He may be a little guy…
But nobody bothered to tell him.

He struts like a full-size herd boss, stares you down like an old western outlaw, and carries himself like he owns every acre he walks across.

Around here we don’t judge a bull by his height—we judge him by the legacy he leaves.

And we have a feeling this little guy is about to leave a big one.

Welcome home, Ferdinand. 🐂🔥

H & M Grange is proud to welcome our very first registered Mini Hereford cow-calf pair!

Meet Ethel and Fireball Fred! ❤️ We're so excited and thankful to have them on the farm and can't wait to watch our herd grow in the years ahead.

Thank you for following along as we continue building our homestead, one step at a time. 🙌🏼

We had the cutest farm hand keeping us in line.🫶🏼

Living in a corporate world, stepping back into our roots and building an operational farm feels both exciting and a little overwhelming.

We started with just over 2 acres, not much more than a dream, a willingness to work hard, and a whole lot of faith. Those first few years taught us so much, and we’ll always be grateful for where we started.🫶🏼

Now we’re stepping into a new chapter with 30 times the land, and we don’t take that blessing lightly.

I don’t say this to boast or brag, because we all understand that sometimes things just don’t line up. I say this to encourage you to start where you are: a backyard garden, a small chicken coop, a couple of acres an a dream.

We know that owning land and chasing a dream like this is something many families only hope for, especially during a time when so many are feeling the weight of rising uncertainty.

This farm won’t happen overnight. It will take years of learning, dedication, sacrifice, and plenty of mistakes along the way — but we’re willing and excited to put in the work.

Our hope is to build something that our kids and grandkids can grow from, learn from, and hopefully share with others along the way. 🤍🌾

🌿 We need your help! 🌿

Since we've recently moved to a bigger piece of land, we're slowly building the farm of our dreams. ❤️

The one thing we don't have yet is a producing garden (it's coming, I promise! 🌱).

We're hoping to open a little farm stand soon, and we’d love to know...

What would YOU stop and buy from a local farm stand before the garden starts producing?

Right now we can offer things like:
🥖 Fresh homemade bread
🍓 Home-canned jams, jellies, fruits & preserves
🧈 Homemade baked goods

As the seasons go on, we'll add fresh produce, pumpkins, flowers, eggs, goat related products, and whatever else our little farm can grow.

So tell me...
👇 What would make you pull over and shop? What would you love to see at a small, local farm stand?

Your ideas might help shape what H & M Grange offers this year. We can't wait to grow this dream with all of you! 🤍

When we moved to our new land, we had several goats in our herd who we just couldn’t get looking healthy. Almost all of them had rough, frizzy coats, and we even had one who had mysteriously lost most of her coat.

We tried zinc, new minerals, copper bolus, dewormer, external parasite treatments, new feed, and rotational grazing. Nothing seemed to make any difference for them.

We have been here for a little over a month and I cannot believe the change in our whole herd.

Tanooki, our oldest girl, has the richest, chocolatey color she has ever had.

Our gold girl (who was almost entirely bald) has such a sleek, dark gold coat.

Harlee, who has always been my favorite, is soo shiny and more beautiful than she has been since we got her.

I am so impressed and excited to see how our herd continues to grow and improve on this land.
