I’m likely moving in January, after I sell the farm as part of the divorce settlement. Please keep your eye out for a good situation. If someone has a farm/ ranch with living quarters like an above barn apartment or such- 16 yr old Steven (and maybe me) being able to help with horses or other livestock would be great since we are both experienced and love that life. Needs to stay in Pickens County so Steven can remain at the school he’s really starting to get established in. If you think of an opportunity, let me know, or just copy and share this. Sometimes sharing “our business” is the best way to make God-centered connections and meet needs for both parties.

Well, the time has come. My last walk in the pasture with my Sunkah Bubba. After a solid year of training and 5 years total working together- he has been the goofiest, most professional, as***le, willing-to-serve, protective, gentle and loyal giant I could have ever asked for and I know he’s my last Anatolian. He’s my last livestock guardian dog bc I’ll soon be selling my flock. The end of a 13 yr era. It is so painful when God is reshaping your life, but growth can’t happen without pruning. I love him to death. Pray for my broken heart in the morning. So happy he will go to a home where there are no cars trespassing through his perceived territory. He only had the best of intentions, just really dangerous ones. He has the best new momma, and has built enough trust with her to give her “hugs”, which he’s only ever done with me. But man oh man, it hurts! Heart forever grateful for the season, and I’m learning that everything that has a beginning… sigh… also has an end.

On a side note, If anyone would love to end my cat season, I will not even shed a tear.

SUNKAH HAS LANDED A PERFECT HOME!! Thank you to EVERYONE who worked on making that happen!

It’s with a boatload of sadness that I am looking for a new farm for my boy Sunkah. If you know of anyone looking for a livestock guardian dog or for an outdoor guard dog with good fencing, please call me ASAP at 864-640-6090. This is urgent as he is now being tethered and I face a citation if he gets caught car chasing again. I am going through a divorce which will take the farm away from me in a couple years, so I can’t make any more huge investments with that in mind

Sunkah (Sioux for “dog”) is a 4 yr old intact registered Anatolian Shepherd and is a very experienced LGD. He is kind to small children, baby aand adult livestock (sheep is what he’s been with the last 4 yrs), chickens, and cats. He has all of the best traits of an LGD. Will let chickens eat out of his food bowl with him and helps clean newborn lambs. No aggression unless you’re a raccoon, groundhog, or possum. In that case he will coolly find you, snap your neck, and walk away. Unfortunately, he has developed a sudden hobby of charging cars on our busy road and I'm about to get in trouble for it. I’ve had him since he was 9 mos after Skyview (very reputable breeder) decided not to use him as a stud bc she found semen she preferred over him. I have no feasible fencing options for that side of my property and therefore must face the reality that I can't keep him. I know he looks skinny but this is normal for an Anatolian and I’ve never been able to bulk him up more than this. He’s been super well cared for, loved on, and has no health problems.

Located right outside of Greenville, SC.

Last call for sweet Easter photos with your little ones and fluffy white lambs- I’m in the process of weaning so they have a limited amount of time being super interested in hanging with humans. Check out these sweet photos from the last session, that momma gave me permission to post.

If you've ever had the desire to learn how to grow an organic garden, even in a raised bed situation but just don't even know where to start, please consider the service I offer to really walk with you through your first season. I grow a TON of food for our family (and used to for many restaurants), but I don't have any heavy equipment outside of our tractor tiller. I do it very old-fashioned, but as efficiently as I can, and if you want to learn how, I'm ready to teach you.
This is my PREMIUM service offering, but I can do any part of it al a carte, and we can work out best pricing for your situation.

Premium service is $250 for all of it.
This includes:
- Site Assessment (garden site selection, soil test info, advice on soil condition and amendments, watering logistics, boundary options, etc. For raised beds, that would include placement advice and how to build the best raised beds and soil recipe.)
- Advice on seed and seedling selections, crop placement, and support devices like trellises, stakes, etc.
- Design of your garden space.
- Starter lesson on organic gardening and how to naturally stay ahead of pests, weeds, and rodents.
- 1 hr on-site hands-on help on planting day
- 1 hr on-site follow up consultation session at time of your choosing (whether that's when garden starts setting fruit or when things get complicated with pests, etc)
- unlimited phone and text accessibility for your questions during growing season.
$150 due at Site Assessment and the rest due at Planting Time.
I want to help people learn how to grow their own food, and to teach THEIR children and grandchildren. Coaching someone through their first garden, all the way through, is time-consuming on top of my busiest time of the year myself, which is why I've chosen the rates I have. I also know that hands-on learning is the best kind. If you want to learn how to grow food organically and make an investment in many years ahead of knowledge, self-sufficiency, and overall absolute joy at eating what you've grown, this is a great and rare offer.
P.S., if you're a single parent with minors in the home, you get a 10% discount off of any of these services.

Professional photographers and amateurs/ mommas- if you’ve ever wanted to get Easter shots with kids and little white lambs- this is your chance. I have a unique situation this year in that these twin cotton balls are hooked on bottle feeding, which makes them very human-friendly and easy to capture sweet moments with your kids. Have a 14 acre farm so you can decide your backdrop. I’m asking $50 for a 30 minute time span with them and free reign of the farm, how you want to set up to get your shots. Message me if interested. This offer only stands for a few weeks- once they’re weaned, they won’t care so much for people handling them. Located in Dacusville.
