Turds and Hay Farm We are a homestead that raises show poultry and beefmaster cattle and Zebu cattle and Appaloosa horses and Pinto horses and ponies .

We also do farm sitting and pet sitting . We will watch your critters while you are away.

Went to RW cattle show .
Friday night showmanship - Annaliese and tow-Mater made it to the final drive and placed 6 th ,but the judge told her she would have been in the overall drive , but Mater was a bit to slow . Well can’t please them all.
today was the bull ring - well Mater placed 3rd . I think it should have gone another way ,but every judge has their idea of a perfect cow . Do I think his perfect was ideal not at all . And that was all day . All and all it was a good weekend and a good end to show season till July . Congrats to everyone that showed .

Well our hatch didn’t pan out like we were hoping . We put duck,turkey and OEG and silkie olive eggers eggs in for some friends for some show birds and only 3 worked the olive eggers,which aren’t show birds just cool eggs . So I guess we will have to fill it up again and try again. I’m excited because I put my naked neck rooster and my bantam Orpington in with the olive eggers and they turned out pretty cool looking so far . One is a necked neck and the other 2 fluff balls .

We rescued a baby goose from a feed store that was having neck issues . They were going to just toss the poor thing and we stepped in and took her and a duckling . We have done neck message and exercises for the baby goose and vitamins and she is doing a lot better . Not 100 % but better than it was doing . We named them goose - Quasimoto and the duck Cinderella .

Forgot to post about the JFCA circuit final ranking! You had to make it in the top 10 on the circuit and this is not easy to do ,because you are going against a lot of nice bulls in the state of Florida . Well , THF Bet On Tow-Mater ran this circuit with a total of 77 other bulls ranging in ages and sizes . We hit almost every show, but one which I wish we could have gone, but I was ill . With that being said that didn’t make a difference . This team still beat all odds and finish great.
Tow -Mater and Annaliese finished in the top 10 out of a total of 77 bulls in the state . They placed 8 th in the state of Florida out of 77 bulls and Tow-Mater was the youngest bull in the circuit and did all of this before he was 11 months old ! That is amazing for a young bull to pull this off . The others bulls were older and bigger than him. I’m super proud of this team and can’t wait to see what the future holds for this team.

Well , these girls are on fire!!!!!
Annaliese and THF Bet On Tow-Mater weighing 1045 lbs went around in the bull ring - 2nd in his class ,but his team mate was 2025 lbs and also older. Then final drive and the bull in his class was picked and Tow-Mater walked in and won 3rd overall bull . In showmanship they won their class and went in for final and won nothing .

Now to get to Annika who hasn’t been in the ring for along time . She was able to show today because someone aloud her to use their heifer. She went in doing what she does best and not knowing the heifer she was showing and went around that ring and walked out Grand Champion Junior showman!!! I can’t believe this kid !!! Super proud of both my girls and our bull!!!! I absolutely love watching my kids in the ring doing what they love . I know lots of people think I’m crazy driving them all over and spending every weekend at the ring side ,but nothing beats watching your kids faces as they know their hard work has payed off !!! And watching them both in the ring today showed that!! I’m super proud of this team!

Decided at the last minute to do a cattle show in brooksville ! Let’s go Annaliese and Annika and THF Bet On Tow-Mater !
Tow- Mater is topping in at 1045 lbs! Let the show began. And thank you to Brittany for allowing Annika to use Trust for showmanship ,we really appreciate,it made her day!

Emme and Meyer -

Heifer class -8 th out of 10 in her class . Not bad for a mini going against reg. Size cattle .

Super proud of these kids and their cattle . Till the next show .
Super proud of Tow-Mater how he is moving up this hard ladder to be on top and he works so hard for Annaliese and it’s showing .
Had a great weekend seeing fellow cattle friends and watching our kids do what they do best shine!

Well day 1 of the cowabunga show with judge Ryan Rash - Tow-Mater and Annaliese volunteered their time for the Adaptive showmanship class . Tow-Mater was so gentle and very easygoing with the young girl that showed him . They pulled off 1st and he won her a belt buckle and banner . Super proud of this team by giving this young lady a chance to show . Now on to showmanship Tow-Mater and Mayer and Emme and annaliese did good but there was so many great teams to chose from ,so no placing or call back. Then on to homegrown bull class - 2nd place and went in for final drive and didn’t place ,so many good homegrown bulls. Over all today was good . Now home till tomorrow.
