We've had a beautiful fall! However it's been super dry fall with just a few showers complete with rainbows. Grazing is continuing to go well. Such a difference from our first years grazing here where we had to ship cattle or feed hay in October! Our hay bales are ready and waiting once pasture stockpiles are eaten and waterlines freeze up. Amy's bucket calf is on grain and doing well, now we need to decide what to do with her!

Want to try our beef, but not sure you want 100% grass fed? We have the unique opportunity for you with Amy's fair steer who just missed the target weight. He has been brought home and turned out on grass, but should be ready in the next couple of months. He is available live or we can have him processed. He should be a nice mix of grain/grass fed.

100% of his cost will go to Amy. She uses the money for future projects, her cattle herd, college fund, and maybe a vehicle.

Update: 1 pig left. Please let us know if you are looking for freezer pork in the next 4-6 weeks. The kids fair pigs didn't make weight and will be finished and available. We can have them processed or sell them live to you.

100% of the pigs cost will go to Amy & Henry. They plan to use the money for future projects, college, and maybe a vehicle.

Rosco our 4 yr old British white bull is looking for his own herd. Was fertility tested late June. Weighs 1750 # easy going disposition. Contact us for info.

We normally do everything to avoid having bucket calves, but Amy wanted to try with Ivy (She was born early and couldn't walk for several days). Thank you to Billi Jo McGuire for helping us get her going. Jeremy calls her Zippy. She's living up to the name!

Raising broilers (and a few replacement layers) has been going well this year with our new chicken ranger tractor. Plenty of room for everyone. It's pretty heavy but Ruth or I move them each morning and evening. We are attempting to improve the fertility at the South end of this field that always gets shaded or drowned out.
