Happy new year! With this wacky winter things have been wild on the farm. Expect a few new products on the farm in 2024!

We are anticipating starting a line of hogs in 2024. We are aiming to bring in some high quality Meishan hogs and breed them for the local community. They are a unique breed of swine with delicious red marbled meat. It has a similar look to beef but superior in taste compared to other pork.

Additionally we are combining forces with Crazy Cluckers Poultry Farm and Goats to develop a meat bird business line. We are eyeballing the trial run in the summer of 2024.

Great things on the horizon so keep an eye out for these and other developments!

Milan Estates is proud to support our local Sportsman's Club. Mid-County Sportsmen's Club is the premier entity for introducing youth to hunter's safety and getting them out in the woods.

They hosted a wonderful annual banquet last night. We look forward to what they have in store for 2024.

Big day for Milan! First attendance at the UP State Fair auction. We are looking for possible additions to the goat herd and solid starters for the pigs. Wish us luck!

The indoor gardening project is showing signs of productivity. Lots more to figure out but great news that the foindimentals concept is sound! Hopefully Milan Estates can break through the weather barrier here and offer fresh veggies all year round! More to come... stay tuned !!!

Ethel is a proud Boer and Fred is a young and able Oberhasli. I am over joyed to have them on the farm.
