SST Farm

SST Farm SST farm is a rescue for farm animals as well as a Hobby farm located in North East Montana. they had two boys and three girls.

July 15th 1910, Minnie Christensen applied for homestead patent on January 4th 1917 the patent was issued to Minni. Minni married Hans Froberg Hansen
On ma 9th 1918 Minni and Hans along with chris and Else Jonasen mortgaged the farm for $2500 to the federal land bank of Spokane. The land went up for sale at a Sharif auction due to being unpaid on August 27th 1932 and the lean bank purchases it for

$2446.31 as a high bid. December 28th of 1942 Christ and Marie Siggaard purchased the property from the bank
Peder and Margaret Siggaard who bought it from his father Christ Siggaard. the farmstead was originally used as a home stead. they grew crops and raised animals to feed there growing family. the house that remains was built in 1965 when the youngest daughter was born. after several of there children moved out they began raising sheep for wool that they sold to local buyers. Peder also trapped for the furs that he could then sell. Peder passed away in October of 1984. Margaret slowly sold the herd due to her health and began spending more time in town. She married Norman stringer in the late 1980s he Passed away in the mid 1990s. Margaret then just did upkeep on the property when she moved to Gladstone ND. when she had passed away the property got divided up between the siblings. 100 acres with the homestead went to her youngest daughter Karen Terrill. Karen did the upkeep on the homestead until 2012 when repairs to the buildings and house began. Karen and Jay Terrill then moved full time to the homestead in march of 2013. they then started with horses and later added goats and chickens to the animals.

Today we say goodbye to our mini pig 'Miss Piggy' we will miss her as she has brought us much laughter with her smarts of learning tricks and her good housekeeping skills, the dogs are missing her too as they loved her even when she was having a bad day and picked on them. We love you girl, now Rest in Peace!
