I remember there was a bit of an uproar from the locals when I said we’d start working on gas vehicles too. “You’re taking our business from us…” I told them we weren’t going after this market. Truthfully, I didn’t. They came to us. Most would argue the starter and AC repair on this thing wasn’t worth the cost based on the value of the truck but that’s not for us to decide; we leave that up to the owner. In this case, he saw the value in the quality of the repair and that’s why it was performed here.

Shoutout to Chris Thoroughbred Diesel for finding us this HPFP for a 6.4 Powerstroke. These things are discontinued from Ford and on heavy backorder with Alliant Power.

That’s the end of the list of pump manufacturers we trust in this shop.

This is also the main reason we are steering away from continuing to repair this platform. Reliable parts get harder to find, everyday.
