Virginia Beef Council Virginia Beef Council (VBC) was started in 1985. Our mission is to enhance consumer preference for beef to strengthen Virginia families.

Virginia Beef Council is a producer-driven, consumer-focused group that works to increase the demand & accessibility for beef. We represent the 25,000 Virginia cattle producers. Through research, promotion, and education, we aim to reach out to food-lovers, mothers, grocers, restaurants, and cooks of all types & skill levels! We are here to answer any questions about BEEF! We are full of recipes,

Thank you to Governor Abigail Spanberger and Secretary of Agriculture & Forestry Katie Frazier for recognizing Virginia's cattle producers and their hard work to produce excellent beef! Today, we celebrate the land, water and natural resources that make agriculture possible — and the stewards who care for them every day. From protecting open spaces and supporting healthy soils to caring for cattle and conserving resources, beef producers play an important role in sustaining our environment for future generations.

This Earth Day, we’re proud to recognize the commitment of Virginia’s beef community to responsible stewardship and continuous improvement.
