Let’s talk about the side of small business ownership that rarely makes it to the grid. 🧵👇
This few months ago, I packed up my inventory, invested about $600 into event insurance, booth fees, materials, logos and drove out to an event with over 200 guests. I was so excited, full of hope, and ready to connect.
The reality? I sold exactly two things.
If I’m being completely honest, walking away from a massive crowd with practically all my inventory and a lighter wallet hurt. 😩 It is easy to feel defeated and wonder if it’s all worth it. But small business growth isn’t a straight line. Every single event is a lesson in market research, visibility, and resilience. I got to pitch my brand to new faces, learn what catches people’s eyes, and figure out how to pivot for next time.
To the two beautiful souls who supported me that weekend: you have no idea how much those sales meant to me. 🥹 And to my fellow creators having a slow market season—keep going. Your worth isn’t defined by a single weekend’s revenue. We dust ourselves off and keep building! 🤍✨
