Happy Monday, Everybody! We hope you all had a great weekend! We’ve been on a little hiatus but we’re back with a vengeance! It's time for another Motivation Monday Post. At Never Give Up Nutrition we start the week with a motivational quote to carry us through to the weekend! We believe that a strong mindset is a perfect foundation for achieving your goals. This week we're adding this quote to our foundation! "Determination is doing what needs to be done even when you DON’T feel like doing it. PUSH THROUGH!”

This is perfect for a Monday isn’t it? Think about it: Whether you’re in school or working a job, Mondays signify the end of a rest period, our fun weekends, and almost always line up with more work, more tasks to add to our to-do lists, and the ever dreadful MEETING! All of our working professionals know about those meetings. We’re forever asking if it could’ve just been an email! Lol! But hey! That’s life. We may not want to do all of those things, but we do it. We do it to take care of ourselves, our families, our friends, and our communities. We do it because it needs to be done. So let’s get it done warriors! We’ve got this!

We're back with Wellness Wednesday: Reloaded, where every week we drop a wellness gem to push you through the week. This week we're talking about ROUTINE BUILDING!

Now, we know what you're thinking: What's the difference between scheduling and building a routine? Scheduling is planning your day, but building a routing is actually following through. It's taking those priorities on your schedule and making them an everyday thing. It allows you to reserve your energy and brain power for what you ACTUALLY need it for. And that's just ONE of the benefits. Building a routine can also:

✔️Promote better stress levels that lead to improved mental health, more time to relax, and less anxiety. Lower stress also equals a lower risk for heart disease.
✔️Promote better sleep to leave you refreshed. Your daily routine influences your quality of rest. Your sleep schedule and bedtime habits affect your mental sharpness, performance, emotional well-being, and energy level. It’s best if you can maintain a consistent time for waking up and going to bed.
✔️Promotes better overall health. Set the alarm a little earlier and you’ll have time to exercise and eat breakfast, fueling your body for the day.
✔️Sets a good example that encourages others to try a routine as well. You demonstrate its importance and the positive effect it has on health, motivation, and self-esteem.

WEEKLY REFLECTIONS: OUR WEEK IN THE REARVIEW

We finally knocked out the first full week of September 2022. How are yall feeling? Hopefully positive. Each Thursday this fall Never Give Up Nutrition will be giving a weekly reflection topic that you can discuss with us, your family, friends, or coworkers to encourage mindfulness in our every day lives.

This week we're talking about WHAT MOVED YOU! Think over your week. What are some of the challenges, situations, or moments that moved you into a space of emotion? Did it make you happy, sad, excited, anixous? Why did it make you feel that way? What did you do confront those feelings or maximize your moments? Let us know in the comments OR start these conversations in your community and let us know how it goes! Talk soon!

We're back with Wellness Wednesday: Reloaded, where every week we drop a wellness gem to push you through the week. This week we're talking about SCHEDULING!

When we hear the word scheduling we immediately think about phone calendars and the stacks of unused planners that we buy every year. What if we told you that stuff is not really what a schedule is or what it's about? Scheduling is about mapping out your time. Not just a piece of your time, ALL OF IT.

Scheduling allows you to make the most out of every part of your day. One of the best things you can do is make a detailed timetable of what you will do and when you will do it, including meetings and appointments. How do we do that? Glad you asked. Here are some easy steps to help you map out your time and create an amazing schedule:

STEP 1 - ASSESS YOUR GOALS AND PRIORITIES: Some tasks, appointments, and goals are set in stone. These things include clock-in time at work, dropping your kids off and picking them up, doctor's appointments, commute time, scheduled lunch/breaks, etc.

STEP 2 - GATHER SUPPLIES: You can do this several ways. You can keep a schedule digitally by using apps like Friday or Two Birds or use a group of apps like Reminders, Alarms, Notes, and Calendar. You also can keep it old school by using a paper planner or white board to keep your daily itinerary in tacts. To do this you'll need a good pen, pencil, and highlighters.

STEP 3 - CREATE A TIMELINE: 7 days a week in hour incriments. You want to create a block for each hour where you can write in where you need to be or what you need to be doing.

STEP 4 - DROP IN YOUR PRIORITIES AND TASK: Remember those things we ironed out in Step One? Time to plug them in along with everything else. Start at wake up and end at your bedtime. Make blocks for your commute, the time you spend on certain tasks during your work, groceries, and everything in between!

Easy, right?! Maximize your time by being mindful of where you spend it! Make more time for what matters to you!

Happy Saturday Party People! So often we discount our own greatness. This is a bad habit we’ve got to curtail. We can do this by offering ourselves daily reminders that we are and can be ALL the things that we need to be in order to succeed. Remember warriors, your healthy lifestyle, just like Rome, wasn't built in a day. You've got this! We're like fine wine: We get better with effort and time. So let's take it one day at a time! Keep pressing forward! Take care and keep moving forward. And remember… DON’T LOOK BACK! Your future is shining bright in front of you!
