River Oaks Food Pantry

Reyes Sanchez and his wife, Connie, are pillars of our church. Connie designed, helped restore the interior, and works weekly inside at the food pantry. Rey is the Trustee and Tech guru of all things ROUMC and fills in at the food pantry. He is undergoing prostate cancer removal tomorrow, and I just ask for your prayers. He has a great attitude and together, we will beat this!

I underwent cancer treatment in 2007, and this is Rey and me sharing a bald photo from that time. He was an usher at my wedding 36 years ago! We celebrated Reys 66th birthday this weekend, and we know he will recover from all of this cancer schmancer in the months to come. We appreciate your prayers!

Our precious Emily, who helps translate and guide clients in the street, had a nut allergy reaction to almond soap and wound up at Baylor, Scott, and White for 3 days. She got to go home today and is doing great. Please give a shout out to Emily who is a faithful volunteer to the River Oaks Food Pantry. Emily Delgado

Our faithful volunteer, Caiden Cano, is shipping out tomorrow into the Air Force at Lackland AFB in San Antonio. Caiden is the incredible Ralph Cano’s grandson.

We’re not sure how we’ll survive without his help, but we’ll try!

Caiden, we love you and wish you all the best as you embark on your career in the Air Force.

We loved serving you today! We had far fewer families than anticipated because of "last-day-of-school" events. We will plan around this in 2027. Happy Graduation!
