So I have a 100sf (9.29m2) walkway to make on the side of the house, regular pavers seemed too dull so I came up with the idea of making a b**r bottle pathway.
The plan is to make a b**r bottle pathway (cause hey bottles are free), by digging down 9 inches(22.8cm), setting the bottles nose down on a water resistant board, for an added touch I'll put lights in the green bottles.
I filled my pickup truck several times at a local bar, cleaned all the bottles and whatever god forsaken items left inside.
Local code requires a test by dropping a 100lb (45.36kg) bag of sand on the completed project from a height of 6' (183cm) A local building inspector has to witness this test and it passes as acceptable alternative building product per code.
Currently have 1,725 (212 are green) I need about 2,000 so 275 more.
Banana included in first photo, shoe size 11 5'10" 50yo male.

About a year and a half ago, I moved into this home that seemed to have just gone through a budget-friendly-flip. I immediately noticed this ring on the white countertop (as I am the one cleaning surfaces) and it has bothered me to no avail that the ring does not wipe away. It seems to be burned/stained into the countertop but I still haven’t decided on my choice of cause for this. The shape has such a close resemblance to a tub of vaseline that I can’t get that idea out of my mind. I want to believe it’s something more acceptable, like the bottom of a hot drill battery. To be clear: this stain has been established prior to move in day.
BUT THEN I’m here enjoying a late afternoon meal (UK what do you call this one? it’s 4pm) and I notice a similar ring on our dining table. This table came to us from my boyfriend’s father’s house and is not friends with, nor related to the countertop. Now my angst is doubled and I’m left with a slew of new considerations. If you wouldn’t mind adding a few more, I would love to get to the bottom of this together.
27 F US (8.5W) left foot (9W) right foot. Please advise: banana is not to scale but satisfactory for scale between two rings

This seems proper dull, I like to collect pennies, separate them into years into individual bags and then roll full rolls of that year when I get 50 of them

This healthy, 8 inch wide, 30 foot tall birch tree was stolen from our property without a trace of the tree left behind, by an impressively strong and efficient thief.

Unbelievable deception. These Dum-Dums make me feel like a Dumb Dumb. All my life I’ve assumed by the graphics that these were tropical flavored. My wife just pointed out that they are actually crème soda flavored.
Why on earth would they do this?
Banana circled for scale. *Butterscotch is the superior flavor.*

Last week I was unloading the dishwasher and I noticed that my wife has accumulated more of these stainless steel insulated beverage containers than we have actual glasses. Each having its own special lid, some with straws, hardly any of it being interchangeable, all way too tall to populate the dedicated glass section in the dishwasher.
While I was unloading and trying to match the 23 various items together from the 4 different locations within the dishwasher that are required to effectively clean but ineffectively dry each various piece of these overengineered cryogenic beverage storage vessels, my frustration increased and I began to formulate the argument that I would later lose to my wife — again.
It was at that point that it dawned on my that I don’t know what to call these things. Surely there is a generally accepted term that I know and that everyone else knows that I have used many times when referring to these, and I have simply forgotten what it is, like forgetting the name of someone who you run across randomly in a supermarket.
So I asked my wife. What are these things called? She, too, looked like she had just run into one of them unexpectedly in a supermarket. Same with my daughter.
Is there a commonly used, well established, rolls-off-the-tongue, generic term for this type of stainless steel insulated drink container? Or does everyone just call them stainless steel insulated drink container? I tried “Thermos”, that doesn’t feel right. I’d never put soup in one. “Yeti” feels very elitist. Stanley doesn’t call them Yetis. I’m not going to call every one of them by their brand name. That’s just as absurd as the 4 different places I have to load each component into the dishwasher.

I enjoy things that are comically over or undersized. Here is a 13.8:1 scale model of an office push pin i measured and machined on the lathe at work to gift my dad for his birthday a couple years ago. I painted it blue (don't have a pic unfortunately), as it is his (and my) favorite color. No banana for scale, as work was all out of them.

My first group-worthy post. I have a large yard that I push mow. If I do it all in one day I get 5.6 miles of walking, according to my Garmin watch.
This particular section is not square, as it tapers on both sides a bit. So I start by squaring off the sides to play the game of “how straight can I estimate on the fly”. Today is a day of deep satisfaction. Not only did both sides meet as close to parallel as I’m going to get, but the width is perfect for one last pass toward the garden which gets all of the bagged clippings from my yard.
Honda GCV 200, Truper wheelbarrow in the background for scale.

A incredibly dull post using tools worth tens of thousands of dollars to fix a 30¢ window regulator
This is a window regulator gear for a 1985 Toyota MR2 it's broken, so I made a new one.
No banana for scale as they are not allowed in the shop
