My name is Kelsey Bault and I have been involved with horses since the year 2000. I got my first horse when I was 8, started my first horse when I was 13, and have been going strong ever since. I have always had a thirst for knowledge and a desire to help horses. Equine Sports Therapy is something that has been in my soul for a long, long time. Why did I wait until I was 30 to make it official? On

ly God knows the answer to that question. When I graduated high school, I had plans to become an equine sports therapist. I wanted to help horses feel better, I wanted to be involved in rehab and conditioning. My grandma even arranged a tour of Pegasus Equine in Redmond, WA (SUPER cool place, by the way). Unfortunately, the plans of an 18 year old got derailed. I didn’t know how to become what I wanted to be as I got sucked into the college and career rat race that was preached to me. Financial security became more important than chasing the dream of an 18 year old girl. I had many a conversation with a friend who was in the field already while standing in the barn for hours, watching her work. I admired her hunger for knowledge and the effort she put into being the best. I always thought to myself, if I ever take the leap, that’s exactly how I want to do it. I didn’t want to just go buy a machine, slap it on some horses and call it good. I’m the same with training my horses, if I expect them to have a good foundation, I should expect the same for myself. So, after always keeping this idea simmering at the back of my mind over the years, I could no longer ignore that pull I kept feeling. I attended massage school in January of 2023 and received my certification as an Equine Sports Massage Therapist from Equissage California. Certifications/Completed Courses

Beginning August 1st, I will be "closing my books" to new travel clients. I've thought long and hard about this decision and I haven't made it lightly. I want to love what I do for as long as possible and this feels like the right choice to make it happen.

I also want to make sure that all of the horses I work on get to experience the best version of me possible. That version is not the one that's strung out trying to see every single horse all over the place.

I will keep a waiting list open that I will pull from when I have openings. I will also still take new clients for haul-ins to my barn in Dallas, OR.

I'm so dang blessed to be at this point in my business. I wouldn't be here without all of my loyal clients that have trusted me time and time again with their best friends. Thank you for making this possible.

I'm so flipping honored to swing a leg over this kid. 2nd run in 3 years and she places 7th out of 170+ horses. She picked the pace (which apparently was wicked fast) and felt better than she has in years.

Then she came back and ran a 20.8 in open poles on her 3rd pole run in 3 years.

I've set out to do some healing in the barrel pen this summer so my only goals are to stay on and leave the barrels standing. So far, I've accomplished that and I've been having so much fun running again.

Thanks for the ride, Stelli. I love you to the moon & back 💓

This one deserves a permanent spot on my feed.

I had a few people ask about my water buffet for the horses so figured I'd share. Yes, I am now that person (much to my husband's dismay). I created a water buffet for my horses.

They still have access to fresh, clean water but now they also have something new to explore. Giving horses choices is one of the 3 important Fs of species specific care: Freedom. The freedom to make choices.

It's the option to stay in the barn or go out. Plain water or fancy water. Eat from the hay bale or go graze on the pasture grass.

This is my herd's first time with the water buffet and they weren't sure what to think. There was snorting from one. Skepticism from another. Complete lack of interest from a third. Slinky was the only one that actually tried the water so far and that's because I put his halter on and made him check it out.

I'm excited to see which options become the favorites and which don't get touched. It'll be interesting to see how it changes with the seasons.
