Homemade Cinnamon Raisin Bread 🍞
Warm, soft, and bursting with sweet cinnamon flavor, this bread is perfect for breakfast or a cozy snack!
Ingredients:
• 4 cups all-purpose flour
• 1 cup warm milk
• 1/4 cup sugar
• 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
• 2 large eggs
• 1 packet (2 1/4 tsp) active dry yeast
• 1 tsp salt
• 1 tbsp ground cinnamon
• 1 cup raisins
Instructions:
1. In a small bowl, dissolve the yeast in warm milk and let it sit for about 5 minutes until frothy.
2. In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, salt, and cinnamon.
3. Add the melted butter, eggs, and yeast mixture to the dry ingredients. Mix until a dough forms.
4. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until smooth.
5. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it, and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
6. Punch down the dough, then fold in the raisins.
7. Shape the dough into a loaf and place it in a greased loaf pan. Cover and let it rise for another 30 minutes.
8. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake for 30-35 minutes or until golden brown.
9. Let cool before slicing and enjoy!
Pro Tip: For an extra touch, brush the top with melted butter right after baking for a shiny finish!
