Magnum 2007 Montesodi Riserva from Frescobaldi.

I am always more convinced that Sangiovese made in the Chianti DOC/DOCG areas are not wines that can withstand time that well.
The lack of natural antioxidants ( polyphenols ) makes Sangiovese a grape that I wouldn’t age more than 15 years and that is already too much.

Different story for the Montalcino and Brunello area that make a greater use of barrel aging to increase that tannic antioxidants.

🍷 Today I tried one of the most interesting Brunello ever ‼️

From the story, to the label, to the Vineyard practices and the care during production I can easily say that I have been Impressed by VALDICAVA.

Very good Brunello di Montalcino Vintages coming in the next years for release. You should all get some to save for future happiness!
