Behind the Bite Part 5: Come try Lao food with me featuring 📸🤤 .

So many people always ask what food photographers do with the food when we’re done shooting it. The answer is typically, we eat it!

This was definitely an experience I will remember for a while . I got to try Duck Laab , Raw Beef Laab, Pickled Fish , Beef Hearts, fried pork ribs and a few other dishes I can’t remember the names of.

Lao cuisine is very fresh to the palate. They use mint leaves in a lot of their dishes along with Thai chilis for spice and partner every bite with a sticky rice. I was surprised how much I enjoyed these dishes that are so uncommon in American culture. One thing I was NOT prepared for was the spice level of the Thai Chili pepper! It’s good, but for me, I need it in moderation 😮‍💨😅.

How The McDonalds CEO should’ve bit that burger 🍔

Going Behind the Bite with in the creation of his one of a kind ‘Krabby Patty’ .

I personally challenged Chef to come up with the craziest burger he could think of and he indeed understood the assignment. A New York Strip burger topped with pepper jack cheese, lettuce, tomato, a cajun crab cake and a fried egg smothered in a homemade aioli sauce! Oh and if that wasn’t enough, Chef even tops the bun with a Cajun butter crab claw. Because like, why not 🤷🏾‍♂️?
