Finished a few projects this week.

This homespun yarn is now available for purchase. Made with wool from our Jacob ewe "Melania". The gray skein is 100% Jacob. The gray & white skeins are wool from Melania that has been plied with a soft white wool. All are 200 yards in length or more.

Also off the loom is a brown & cream rug made with alpaca and a cream colored wool. Will be available for purchase soon.

Getting ready for the PA Endless Mountains Fiber Festival this weekend and we're packing these two handmade treasures for the trip.

Both are homespun and crocheted by hand. The crop sweater is a wool/mohair/acrylic blend. The shawl is a mix of our Jacob wool from Sunshine and her daughter Rainey and black alpaca fiber.

Dyeing sock yarn and I'm pretty happy with the results.

The pink came out slightly freckled and looks like it has teeny tiny hearts all over the socks.
The multicolored pair is from our Montadale ewe named Thing 1 (from Dr. Seuss) She was a triplet from our ewe Opal. Opal's wool was just dyed in roving form and is on the shelf ready to purchase.

Recently dyed wool roving.
Shades of brown from Opal the Montadale and Gerbera the Jacob are on the shelf and ready to go.

Purple blends from Kandi the Montadale are drying on the bench.

Kandi's fleece is really nice.

New Farm Product Available!

We are now offering Wool Pellets made from our Jacob & Montadale sheep.

Every year we end up with a batch of wool that is not spinning quality or is an offcut from the belly area of the sheep. This year we found a company here in eastern Pennsylvania that would turn that wool into pellets.

Why would we do this?
1. We wanted to find a way to recycle this material.
2. Wool pellets are a great soil additive. They help aerate the soil, retain moisture and add biomass back to the soil along with any nutrients in the wool itself.

They are all natural and made from 100% raw wool.
