If your travels take you to Laurel, Ms. Pearl’s Diner is a must. True southern cooking set in a location that makes you feel like you have stepped back in time a few decades. The food was outstanding and the service was very friendly. The food reminds you of what quality home cooking really is and the chicken tenders were amongst the best that I have had. The Village Cafeteria in Chatsworth, Ga. Us that live in the region know all about The Village and know that the food is top notch but today it's about the dessert. A coworker knew that I was going and said "get the strawberry cake"! He was right! That stuff was momma slapping good!

While visiting Claxton, Ga., the fruitcake capitol of the world we came across Harry's BBQ and Seafood. I'm always down for bbq so I gave the brisket a try with fried squash and cheese grits flanking. It was a great combo at a reasonable value.I look forward to going back and trying other offerings in the future. We give them a 6 out of 7 on our Jeep'n n Eat'n 7 slot scale. Work took us down to the St. Simon’s Island area and we found this little nugget called Iguana’s Seafood. I had the Caribbean Glazed Mahi Mahi and it was very tasty. I had been by in Jackson, Ga. many times but never had the time to stop. We finally had the opportunity and it did not disappoint! It's old school buffet where you sit at a table with others and the food is brought to the center of the table. They have some of the best fried chicken that I have had and the food is fresh with a very friendly staff. For these reasons we give them a 6 out of seven on our Jeep'n n Eat'n 7 slot scale. While in Metropolis, Illinois (yes, the home of Superman!) we asked some locals where was a good place to eat was.
Without pause they answered Fat Edd's Roadhouse. They had a lot to choose from but l'm always down for a good burger so that's what I went with it did not disappoint nor did the onion rings! We give them a 6 out of 7 on our Jeep'n n Eat'n 7 slot scale. Now get out there and make some memories!

We are SOOOO behind on posting so we will try to get caught up by starting with a sweet tooth. If your adventures lead you to Key West stop in and try Banana Cafe. I don’t have crepes very often but the obvious choice was the key lime crepes and they did not disappoint! We are giving them a solid 6 out of 7 on our Jeep’n n Eat’n 7 slot scale. Sometimes it’s not about the normal food and it’s about the sweet stuff! So we slipped out for a mini date tonight and found churro co. Dalton and surrounding areas look these folks up and go give them a try. Very tasty treats served by very nice and helpful staff. We had the churro bites tray with a scoop of ice cream, some whip cream and topped off with home made strawberry and chocolate drizzle. As Jerry Reed used to say, “Son!!” Me and the Wifie looked like wallowing pigs fighting over the last bite. If you saw us, just mind ya bizness!! On the way home we washed it down with a watermelon agua fresca. It may possibly be the nectar of the gods! Their friendly demeanor and high quality treats pushed them straight to the top with our Jeep’n n Eat’n seven slot scale perfect score of seven! Now get out there and make some memories!

We got a good one for you today if’n you like a great burger!! Nestled in downtown Norcross, Ga. is B&W Burgers, Buns & Brews. What a great place! I had the BBQ Angus burger sided with sweet potato waffle fries and boy was it packed with flavor and filling. Didn’t even need to eat supper tonight! Mike, the general manager was super friendly and made you feel like you had known him forever. We’re giving them a super solid 6.5 out of 7 on our Jeep’n n Eat’n 7 slot scale. Now get out there and make some memories!
