Two years ago, I cut the ribbon to the opening of my small snack bar, Chucherías La Gorda. 🎀✂️💓

When I first decided to open, one of the first thing somebody told me was, “Just don’t think you’re going to get rich off a snack bar.” And I remember replying, “I’m not looking to get rich. I just want to work for myself and grow something that belongs to me.”

Well, I definitely didn’t get rich—in fact, I’ve been BROKER as a business owner than I ever was working a regular job. 😂😭 I’ve cried, stressed, struggled and had plenty of “¿y ahora qué chingados voy a hacer?” moments.

Pero aquí seguimos—Chucherías La Gorda is a piece of me, and I will always be thankful for everyone who has helped me keep these doors open. 🎀✨
