The ducks are certainly enjoying this rain! They are spending their morning swimming up and down the ditch! I'd rather have snow than all this rain & mud!!!

Earth Day was a good day for kidding! Janae was excited to find a little doeling while doing chores and that afternoon she was able to watch Ember's buckling being born! The doeling is the first kid born that is sired by a buck from our breeding and will be retained!

I chose Nigerians as Janae was such a little thing and they were the easiest find in our budget. Now that she is older, I have been debating on getting a larger breed and casually browsing for about a year now! I came across a post for Nubian kids and showed my mom... she twisted my arm from there. I did not pay much attention to the DOB and am used to the 2lb Nigerian kids so didn't realize until we picked her up that she was indeed a bottle baby as by size just assumed she was weaned! 🙃😂 Janae was able to name her however for this doe's line all names need to start with L.
