No Harm Farm

No Harm Farm There is nothing like Farm Fresh Eggs from Happy, Healthy Chickens & Ducks! Anyone who knows me also knows that I wanted chickens FOR-EV-ER!

Rick finally conceded, we built the coop and ordered a variety of 20 chicks from a hatchery. And our lives were forever changed! It was only a matter of time before my thoughts turned to goats. I found a local breeder. "Let's just go SEE them", I begged. Once again, Rick surrendered. Thank GOD for my fantastic and supportive husband as I nurture my love of animals! Now, 20 chicks have turned into

20+ hens, 2 guinea fowl, ten ducks, eight baby chicks in bins in the kitchen, three goats, three dogs, and a cat. But we wouldn't have it any other way. OK.... maybe only "I" wouldn't have it any other way. :)

No Harm Farm was born. Why "No Harm", you may ask? Because everything here lives out it's life in the most natural way that it can. The chickens are free to roam and eat bugs, with a warm safe coop to return to at night. When they no longer produce eggs, they are allowed to retire in peace (there is no 'death sentence' for unproductive hens on No Harm Farm). The goats live the same way, eating and frolicking and doing whatever it is that goats do all day (aside from scratching the car would their rough little hooves). On this page, I'll post random chicken tidbits, photos from the farm, and when we have eggs for sale, they'll be posted too! Hopefully, this page will keep all of my other Facebook friends from unfriending me because they are sick of my pictures of the animals. :)

Yay! The new electric fence is up!!! No more chasing ducks and geese all over the yard!!!
