Good morning from Maria's Homemade Country Fare!
I will be at Conway, Arkansas Farmer's Market tomorrow, the 29th from 8 am to 12.
I will be selling, so you will want to come stock up, because I'll be gone for 2 weeks....

I'll also be taking donations for my dear friends, Bryan and Karen Dearasaugh. They're my right ARM retail folks...Well, Bryan had a sudden, traumatic brain surgery last weekend. It's serious, folks. Please keep him, Karen, and their family in your prayers. He will be in the ICU for at least SIX WEEKS and then regular hospital for who knows how long.
Please come by and see me, stock up, and drop a few dollars in the special jar for them. Thank you all for being so loyal to us over the years. It's been a beautiful, continued humbling experience.
I will be back on September 19th and 26th, so you only have 3 opportunities to stock up here. See you all in the morning, bright and early!

You've seen them all over the state of Arkansas, selling my products and giving a lot of joy in the process. Back by demand - Corn Relish 🤩 😋! This sweet and tangy jar is packed with flavor and is ready to be paired with spiral pasta to make an instant pasta salad. You could create a new "cold" side dish, or a potluck dish, by adding a can of rinsed black beans to this relish.

Stock up on some SPAGHETTI SAUCE this Saturday at the Conway, Arkansas Farmer's Market from 8-noon! We will be putting it on sale and sampling the mild and hot spaghetti sauce.

Did you know our "no sugar added" Spaghetti Sauce is one of, if not THE, top seller? That says something, considering all the products we make.

Our spaghetti sauce is made from delicious, simple ingredients and makes for a quick weeknight meal.

Karen's granddaughter, Flora, couldn't stop eating/drinking the samples. She didn't even need a spoon 😉😘!

We are always asked "what do you do with pickled garlic"?

Here are a few suggestions: green salads, pasta salad, sandwiches/wraps, charcuterie boards or pickle trays, stir fry or just straight outta the jar!!!

Did you know that garlic is very good for you? It helps reduce inflammation, aids in digestion, boosts your immune system, helps your body fight infections, lowers blood pressure & cholesterol - whew, now that's a whole lot of benefit in such a cute little jar!

CHOW-CHOW - "what is chow-chow"?

That's a question we hear at almost every market/event we attend. The answer we give is "it's a relish made with cabbage, red bell peppers, sugar, vinegar and spices".

Chow-chow is kind of a "southern" thing, so it's used on/in a big ole pot of beans, purple hull peas (now in season and sold fresh at the market this Saturday), greens, hot dogs, hamburgers or as a condiment with fried foods.

Okay regular customers, did I forget any other food with which chow-chow pairs?

YES, the Conway, Arkansas Farmer's Market will be open Saturday, July 4th from 8-noon! The market will be celebrating by offering free cake to all customers (while supplies last) 😋.

We at Maria's will have a few jars of pickle SPEARS avaliable this weekend. Make sure to come to the market early to get your very own jar of regular or garlic dill pickle spears, while they last!
