It’s that time again!!! Taking Pig Share reservations for the spring batch. We are pleased to be able to say that our prices have not changed since 2018. Wow! Try that in your local grocery store. In order to stay committed to these low prices, we have made a decision to no longer deliver. No worries though, you can pick up your order directly from the butcher at Sansing Meat Market in Maben, MS. Take control of your own food supply while supporting local farmers that are passionate about serving and supporting you. These will be ready in June/July. We have had the pleasure of partnering with almost 200 families since we started this journey. Why don’t you join us?!
Our farm(Line Creek Farms) and our partner farm (B and D Farms) both have had kids in 4H that work together to provide locally raised pasture raised pork. These hogs are humanely raised in open pastures and rotated through woodland and forage paddocks. They are supplemented with free choice feed. No antibiotics, hormones or concrete confinement practices used. The finished product is said to have more flavor than your factory raised pork and much healthier for you. Here is how it works. 1st decide if you want a half or whole hog. Whole requires a $100 deposit, a half requires $50. When your pig is ready for the butcher, we will contact you to help you customize your order. The butcher will give us the hanging weight (weight of the carcass after it has been dressed) of your hog. You will pay $3.99/lb for a whole or $4.99 for a half. Processing fees are included. We are shooting for hanging wts from 175-225lbs. Your deposit will be applied to your final per weight total. Bacon, ham, pork chops, Boston butts, loin roast, smoke sausage, minute steaks, ribs, breakfast sausage. You name it, you can have it. We will walk you through every step. We will be glad to provide references from our customers. This batch will be ready around June/July. We also can take monthly installments to lessen the burden of a one time cost.
