Blunt Blend® is back — “Dank Arts” Batch #3, and it’s available in Florida now.
8-year cask strength rye and finished in Armagnac and Madeira casks… and it really comes through. It’s got that bold rye backbone, but there’s a lot more going on here.
This is one you take your time with. Pour it, light something up, and let it open up as you go.

Tasting Notes:

Nose:

Getting a lot of red fruit — grape, cherry — with fig and dates in there too. Some caramel sweetness, then a light to***co note sitting underneath it all.

Palate:

Starts with that rye spice — cinnamon and clove — then softens into caramel, vanilla, and a little honey. There’s a hint of chocolate and some nuttiness that keeps it balanced.

Finish:

Long finish. The fruit and spice hang around, then fade into to***co, oak, and a subtle sweetness that sticks with you.

Our Dark Arts barrel picks are in and they are fantastic! We picked them a few months ago with their President and Chief Alchemist Macaulay Minton who has the knack of getting some of the best barrels on the market and putting his own unique finishing technique on them.

The “Panhandle Guido” is 8 year Kentucky Bourbon aged in Italian Marsala Wine Barrels at 113.4 proof. Smells like amaretti (almond vanilla cookie) with dried raisins and apricot mid palate. A really interesting spicy and zesty tang on the finish from the Marsala cask. A short barrel yield on this exotic Bourbon and in the shop for $96.99.

The “Strawberry Beret” is a 6.5 year Kentucky Rye finished in Calvados Barrels at 118.8 proof. Super aromatic on the nose with fresh picked wild strawberries and raspberry jello (the powder;-) with notes of Ambrosia. Bright fruit with a honeyed spice finish and a touch of caramel. Lots going on and in the shop for $96.99.
