DaySpring Farms is enjoying a little “poor man’s fertilizer with about 4 to 5 inches of snow. As the snow falls through the atmosphere it captures nitrogen. As the snow melts slowly, the nitrogen is deposited in the soil. We don’t see snow very often, but when we do, the wheat underneath the snow gets a little boost of free fertilizer.
