Congratulations again to these three exhibitors on a successful Georgia Junior National Livestock Show!!

We’re incredibly proud to have the opportunity to help shape the next generation of cattlemen and women through this sport. Sure, finding the backdrop is fun (and it’s pretty nice when it all comes together), but that’s not really what it’s about.

It’s about teaching responsibility, building a strong work ethic, and learning how to properly care for the animals God has entrusted to us. It’s about understanding that family matters and that the lessons learned along the way are bigger than any banner.

At the end of the day, it’s not really about raising cattle… it’s about using the cattle to help raise kids. This sport teaches you that not everyone gets to win, how to lose with grace, how to win with humility, and how to take pride in the work you put in every single day.

Freeze branding some bulls for a customer. Brands are an easily visible ID method that permanently identifies the animal as compared to ear tags that often fall out for various reasons.

Sale season is here.

With online bidding continuing to hold strong, picture day and video day are just as important as sale day itself. That’s why we make sure your cattle look their absolute best—so you can capture top dollar. From cleaning up winter s**g to washing and final touch-ups, we handle the details and make sure every animal looks sale-ready for the camera. Because a great presentation still matters… and a picture is worth a thousand words.

Crews that provide this service are becoming harder to find, and their schedules fill up fast. Our books have been slammed for this spring since November, so if you’re planning a sale, don’t leave details like booking your shearing crew until the last minute. These guys are just as critical to your success as the person dumping the feed bucket, so even if you don’t have exact dates, it’s important to at least reach out and get it on their minds as early as possible.

15 years young and holding strong 💪🏼

Ol’ Snazzy is one of the rare exceptions for us as she has become a regular pasture ornament around here. After having some arthritis develop during her 2024 pregnancy, we decided to no longer let her carry a natural calf. We have hopes to flush her one more time, but for now, she’s enjoying retirement and teaching the young ones what feed is and to come when we call. The arthritis was sure showing again in all the snow last week though.

Started the year off with a bang by snagging 3rd Overall Heifer at the Steve Hobbs Memorial on January 10th. Conner also snagged reserve champion 4th grade showman and another class win with Remi. Shout out to Kolt for taking Remi back out for the final drive of British heifers.

One of the most phenomenal females we have ever had the opportunity to lay hands on.

A bull that has made history already.

A mating that should just plain click.

When Tanner asked us about purchasing the flush that was being offered in the 7 Oaks & Friends Sale in August, we told him he would be crazy not to. Once he purchased it and then asked about Gunsmoke, Shelly made the call to track down some that would reverse sort well and boy did this mating produce!! Since there were over 20 eggs frozen, Tanner discussed us helping him market a package in Bobby's Southern Elite Sale on Ag Sale Day.

We don't think you could go wrong with these embryos. Just take a look at the mating predictions and we have yet to see a Gunsmoke offspring we didn't like. With the side profile look both of them possess and the added stoutness that Gunsmoke can add to his offspring, we think that the heifers from this mating will be one that could wear a halter, or just be the front pasture kind.
