Wedding season is officially here, and we wanted to reintroduce ourselves to all of our new followers! 👋

While you’ve probably seen us serving up dirty sodas, fresh lemonade shakeups, and Red Bull drinks around the community lately, that’s actually just a fun bonus of what we do.

At our core, Straight Up Sips is a MOBILE BAR specializing in weddings, private parties, corporate events, graduations, and celebrations of all kinds! 🍾✨

Our public events allow us to connect with our community, meet new faces, and keep our team busy between private bookings—but weddings and private events are truly the heart of our business.

And wow… wedding season is here in full force! 💍🤍

Our 2026 calendar is filling up FAST, and we’ve already started booking weddings for 2027. If you’ve been thinking about adding a mobile bar experience to your big day or special event, now is the time to get on our calendar.

As we wrap up the month of May, we can’t help but sit back and say… WOW. 🤍

One month ago, our trailer officially hit the road, and what an incredible first month it has been. From community events and hospital sponsorships to weddings, campgrounds, local businesses, and everything in between, this little trailer has opened doors we never could have imagined.

We’ve served thousands of drinks, met so many amazing people, connected with fellow small business owners, and watched complete strangers become familiar faces. Every event has reminded us why we started Straight Up Sips in the first place—to bring people together and be part of the communities we love.

And the crazy part? She’s not even finished yet! We still have plans to continue transforming the trailer inside and out, add sponsor logos, and keep making it even better.

To everyone who has booked us, sponsored an event, shared a post, stopped by for a drink, or simply cheered us on from afar—thank you. This journey has been more than we ever expected, and we feel incredibly blessed to be living it.

May was just the beginning, and we cannot wait to see what the rest of 2026 has in store. 🥤✨

✨ What a day! ✨

Today was a big one — from 11 AM to 9 PM, we were serving up drinks and fresh mini pancakes at TWO different locations, and my heart is so full.

Tomorrow wraps up event #6 of 6 with Nomad Theatre Company, and what an incredible experience it has been. Connecting with our local community, meeting new faces, seeing familiar ones, and watching our team grow and connect with each other has been so rewarding.

Days like today have us asking ourselves the big question… should we do this full-time? 🤍

Before we start our busy wedding season, we have one more community event!

✨ BIG THINGS ARE HAPPENING ✨

Monday, we sit down for a business meeting that has us feeling equal parts excited, nervous, and completely inspired. 🤍

For months, we’ve been dreaming, planning, brainstorming, and asking ourselves:

“What can we create that our community truly needs?”

We’re talking…

🎉 A local party store experience with all the things you miss from Party City (but better!)
🎈 A balloon bar with grab-and-go options, custom installs, and helium fills
🛍️ Party supplies galore — plates, cups, napkins, decorations, candles, favors, and all the little things you always forget at the last minute
📸 A photography studio space
🎊 Event rentals including backdrops, arches, tables, chairs, linens, and more
🥤 Fun drinks and treats while you shop
🏢 A small event venue for birthdays, baby showers, bridal showers, business gatherings, workshops, and all of life’s special moments
🤝 Space dedicated to supporting and showcasing other local small businesses in the same industry
✨ A true one-stop shop for celebrations, milestones, and making memories

One thing we’ve heard over and over is that Bloomington-Normal needs more affordable, smaller event spaces for those special occasions that don’t require a huge venue. Whether it’s a baby shower, birthday party, graduation celebration, bridal shower, vendor event, or business gathering, we want to help fill that gap.

We aren’t quite ready to share everything yet, but what we’re building is so much bigger than a store. It’s a place where people can celebrate, create, gather, shop local, and support other small businesses all under one roof.

Monday is another huge step toward making this dream a reality, and we can’t wait to share more as things continue to come together.

👀 Stay tuned… because this is only the beginning.

And one more thing… this venture will be completely separate from Straight Up Sips! While Straight Up Sips isn’t going anywhere, this exciting new project will have its own identity, its own vision, and its own business page launching soon.

We’re still in the planning stages, but we are SO excited about the potential of what this could become for our community.
