Holidays tend to hit different on the farm. Animals don’t care if it’s Mother’s Day - they just want to be fed on time. And gifts tend to be more practical, but no less loving. We spent Mother’s Day selling piglets and hauling cows to the butcher. And somewhere in between my farmer found time to install a new faucet in the milk room for me. Farm life may interrupt every holiday, but it’s the little things that make it so worth doing.

There’s nothing quite like looking out the window on Sunday morning and seeing your pigs sleeping ON the fence! I wish I had gotten a picture of them, but I kinda had other things on my mind in the moment 😂 I guess you could say they all woke up on the right side of the bed though, because they came running to get their feed as soon as they heard the bucket. Spent some time tracking down the fence issue and everyone is staying where they belong now.
